Fantasy Football: Odell Beckham Jr's Hamstrings A Major Problem

We are now five weeks away from the launch of our Draft Kit and Cheatsheets (July 15).

This week we are focusing on New York Giants second year wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Perhaps one of the most
beloved Fantasy Football players from 2014. OBJ bursted onto the scene in Week 5 after missing all of Training Camp and the first four weeks of the regular season due to a hamstring injury. Missing the first month of the season didn’t hinder OBJ’s production, he still finished with 91 receptions, 1,305 yards and an explosive 12 TDs. His rookie year stats speak for themselves. Considering he was a free agent pickup in most fantasy leagues, Beckham Jr. helped thousands of Fantasy Football managers win their championship.

But what if instead of missing the first four games, he missed the last four games and thus the entire fantasy football playoffs and championship? Would we still consider him a Top 3 WR heading into 2015 after leaving that hypothetical bad taste in our mouth?

The reason we bring up this fake fantasy situation, is the fact that OBJ is battling tightness in his hamstring (this time the right hamstring). The Giants are considering sidelining him until Training Camp begins and perhaps even into the 1st few weeks of the Preseason.

So here’s how all of this comes into play for you…We’ve seen NFL Players with a seemingly VERY promising career get derailed due to hamstring issues. This is OBJ’s 2nd NFL Off-Season and 2nd time dealing with a hamstring injury that will force him to miss the summer training regimen. Is this going to be a chronic issue for what some are calling the best athlete in all of sports?

Even if OBJ is ready for Week 1, should we be concerned he’s at risk of missing time during the season or worst case scenario during the Fantasy Football Post-Season?

Did we mention he’s on the Madden Cover this year? We think the curse has been broken considering Richard Sherman was on the cover last year and still proved he’s one of, if not THE, top CB in the NFL while leading his team to their second straight Super Bowl appearance.

So without further ado:
