It’s our Number 1 rule for winning your traditional fantasy football leagues. Knowing your scoring system is the upmost importance in Daily Fantasy Football, especially at DraftKings. If it  seems like a basic concept, it's because IT IS a basic concept. Yet so many people ignore the scoring system. Bottom Line: Knowing your scoring system helps you identify the right players to add to your team.

DraftKings is a Full Point PPR (one point for every reception) with bonuses at 100 yards for Running Backs, Wide Receivers, Tight Ends and passing bonuses for Quarterbacks at 300 yards. Rushing and Receiving TDs are six points. Passing TDs are 4 points. For the full list of scoring see the diagram below.

DraftKings lineups are comprised of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) and 1 Defense/Special Teams. There are NO kickers in DraftKings lineups.

In each contest, you have the opportunity to pick any player, from any team, from any game. Each player has a price and you have $50,00 in salary cap. You are essentially “buying” (selecting) players and fitting them into that $50,000 budget.

For example: If Peyton Manning costs $10,000 and you pick him for your QB, then you’ll have $40,000 left to fill out the rest of your roster.
